Welcome to the Rambling Blog, so called because it does not have a theme. Instead it will be filled with posts about anything and everything I want to write about.
Having said that I feel I should answer some of the questions I have already been asked about the blog. So far all questions have been about my first posts, which are all to do with fighting debt collectors.
As you can imagine, all the questions are along the lines of “Are you in debt?”, “Have you not paid your debts?”, “Why are debt collectors chasing you?” and so on.
The answer to all these questions is no. I’m not in debt, well not much and I can comfortably make the payments. I have never defaulted on a payment, no Debt Collection Agency is chasing me for a debt I owe. But I am being harassed by several Debt Collection Agencies, just not for any debt of mine.
The reason for this is in September 2007 I moved into a new house. My neighbour tells me that the house was empty for about two months before I moved into it. The previous occupant was a young lady who lived with her young son who was below school age. That is all I know about the previous occupant, other than her name as I still get mail addressed to her.
The one other thing I know about her is she hasn’t paid many of her debts. These debts have been passed on to debt Collection Agencies and these Agencies are now harassing me. They seem to think that because the person owing the debt was a “Miss”, and I am a man, I am her boyfriend and just covering for her when I say she doesn’t live here any more. So they are continuing to harass me for the debts.
As a result of this, and in an effort to stop these debt Collection Agencies harassing me, I have taken advice from several sources. I will get them off my back, but it may take a while. In the mean time I will pass on my experiences and knowledge of these Agencies, and how to deal with them. But all my posts will be from the point of view that these Agencies are bad, and anyone who works for them is the lowest of the low. Well, all the ones that have phoned me are!
I will also make posts about any other subject that takes my fancy, so even if you are not interested in debt matters you may still find something to interest you.
